Get the look - Sharon Osborne's home

This week I'm featuring the home of one of my favourite people and her amazing home.  This home was designed by famous LA designer, Martyn Lawrence Bullard.  He has created some amazing interiors and he's one of my favourite Interior Designers.  He also has a great book out, Live, Love and Decorate.  I love his clever use of colour; the pale backdrop with touches of soft blue and injections of colour and texture.  Very easy to live with and I especially love all the touches which make it unique ie the oversized clock, Victorian mannequin etc.  I've also listed what we have in the shop to create this look, and the prices.  So things don't cost a lot it's just having a good eye to put the pieces together and to add things you wouldn't have thought of.  I've got a Victorian mannequin in my dining room which sits in the fireplace as well!  I actually have it by default as I dropped it in the shop one day and the arm fell off.  I couldn't sell it like that so I had to inherit it!

Also for all guys in the US who read my blog, we're developing our website at the moment so you'll be able to shop on-line soon as I plan to ship worldwide.

Loft living (and not the urban type)

This week I've been carrying out a bit of research for my own home.  Looking into how best to use the loft/attic space.  I'm lucky enough to have the actual building work already done and a small toilet and wash hand basin there as well. I've found some great inspiration, especially on the bathroom front.  And there is a similar theme running through all the bathroom images, a freestanding bath.  I'm thinking about having a bath put in the bedroom part of the attic.  A nod to Hotel du Vin or Malmaison.  I always love staying in these hotels with a bath in the bedroom.  Such an indulgence, lying in a beautiful scented bath, glass of Champagne and some soft music.  You relax so much and then just fall into your bed.  That's the idea anyway.  Hope you like the images this week and find them as inspirational as I do!
