Flamenco

Hi everyone, I've been very remiss and not posted for over a month.  Hopefully that's me back on track now.  Today's post is all about Flamenco and is dedicated to my good friend Carolina Giraldo.  Whilst Carolina isn't actually Spanish (she's Colombian), she is married to Carlos who is a Spaniard!

Flamenco excites me so much, from the clapping beat to the fabulous frills.  I've discovered Flamenco has had a big influence on home fashion this year.  I bought some frilled Flamenco inspired bedlinen from Anthropolgie in London and have found loads of other products with the Flamenco frill influence.  It's such a sexy look, see what you think.

I actually have this album in a frame in my sitting room, I just love the picture.  My husband thinks the lady looks like me (she doesn't).

Italia

Italy is such a magical, romantic country.  Maybe I say that as 20 years ago my husband proposed to me on the Amalfi Coast!  It's a country that has something for everyone; history, nature, style, lakes, mountains, golf, spas, art and culture.  The list is endless. The Italians are synonymous with style; Armani, Valentino, Ferragamo, Missoni, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana to name but a few designers renowned and revered the world over. An artist friend of mine fell in love with the country so much, she and her partner moved there and set up a business providing art and walking holidays in the north of Italy between Parma and Bologna in the Appenine Mountains. Think pink!!

Today's post is solely dedicated to my beautiful daughter Angelica.  Who is on a mission to turn her whole life pink!  I do, of course, blame this on myself.  So desperate was I to have a daughter that when I was pregnant everything I bought or did was pink in some way.  So here we are, pink in all it's glory, it's just so soft and such a beautifully comforting colour - enjoy. xx
